Running a remote studio: shift notifications in Telegram

How a remote studio owner can see who started a shift and how much they earned without messaging every model.

When a studio works remotely, the owner loses the simplest control tool there is — seeing who is on shift right now. What’s left is messaging: “Have you started?”, “Send me the results”, “Where’s the report?”. It takes everyone’s time and still doesn’t give the full picture.

What an owner actually needs to know

Strip away the noise, and during the day an owner cares about three events:

  1. The shift started. Did the model start on time or late?
  2. The shift ended. How long did the work last?
  3. Shift results. How much was earned, and on which platforms?

Everything else can be checked in the CRM later. These three events, though, you want to know about immediately — where you already spend your time, in Telegram.

Why not a group chat with models

Many studios solve this with a group chat where models post “started” and “finished”. The downsides are well known:

  • messages are typed by hand and often forgotten;
  • the time of a message doesn’t always match the real start of work;
  • shift results arrive in free form and still have to be copied into a spreadsheet;
  • important messages are easy to miss among the chatter.

Notifications should be sent by the system, not by a person. Then they always arrive, in the same format and with the exact time.

How it works in TipsyCRM

The TipsyCRM Telegram bot takes a minute to connect: the CRM gives you a personal link to the bot — follow it and press /start, and the bot links your account. From then on the bot sends:

  • a notification when a shift starts;
  • a notification when a shift ends;
  • a report listing each platform with tokens and amount, plus the shift total.

The data comes from the same reports used for payroll and analytics, so the numbers in Telegram and in the CRM always match.

What changes in practice

The owner stops being a dispatcher. No more reminders about shift start times or chasing results — a glance at the notification feed is enough. If a model is late, you see it right away, not at the end of the week.

Models benefit too: there’s no need to write a separate report in a messenger when it’s already in the CRM.
